The Odyssey at The Barbican
I was commissioned by the Barbican to create and perform a shadow puppetry version of The Odyssey as part of their "Can I Have a Word?" schools programme.
In the performances Dirk Campbell composed and played the music and Daniel Morden told the story as I animated small and large scale images and puppets.

This title design above was used as a gobo stencil and projected in large scale.
The image below is a rubber stamp print that I used in a map made for the children and schools.

In a Tea Cup
In a Tea Cup was a collaborative theatre piece by Welfare State International, performed by Amanda Lebus, Hannah Fox and Sue Gill, and directed by John Fox. Pam Sandiford collected stories from people of different ages and experiences under the title “The Night that I was Born” and we devised a show using puppetry, storytelling and music as a response to these stories about people’s own birth or those of their siblings or children. Duncan Copley made the portable shadow theatre and storytelling space and we toured the show, giving it back to those who had originally contributed their stories.
